In the fight against climate change, HK-Ceram’s most important task is to switch production from gas to electric firing. The operation of electric furnaces results in a considerable reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. As part of the energy transition, our newest electric kiln was commissioned in 2024 for the firing of refractories.

We now have five electric kilns. A solar panel system installed on the production hall supplies almost all the energy for the new kiln.
